Summary: I have a broad background - law, management accounting, transport and general management. I enjoy my current challenges and current role and look forward to a few more years with the Highland Group, but I also need new challenges to keep me motivated. I hope to have one or more different challenging roles over the next ten years, be they management, consultancy or in different fields, before I even contemplate retiring to spend my time in my music room and on the golf course.
I have high numerate and literary skills. I am pretty computer-literate in software areas (less so on hardware and communications), very strong on developing costing & pricing models and office systems and procedures generally. Have worked on design & development of two computer systems, in close liaison with software houses.
My interpersonal skills are well developed. I am of course slightly biased, but feel that I have a good general knowledge, a good sense of justice and fairness, and a very good sense of humour and perspective. People tell me I generally can see both sides of any situation very well.
